Have anyone try boswellia herbal supplement for their uc?
I have tried a few days now and the bleeding stop.

Boswellia works for me too. Most people do not realize that supplements (probably most meds too) are not a magic bullet. They do not put me into remission and keep me there. But I find boswellia helpful at the start of a flare with symptoms like diarrhea or loose stools.
Taking it during the day and before bed more often than not everything would be firm and solid and in remission again by morning. Without boswellia it may take a few days. Of course if I continue to eat the triggering food that gave loose stools in the first place then all bets are off.

i've used it, found it usefull for a couple of weeks then it's effects stoped. Now thanks God, i am in a much better shape since SCD kicked in after 1 year.
I am glad it works for you both. It's a cheap suplement and has no bad side effects if used properly.

Boswellia didn't do anything for me. But the supplements market isn't regulated at all, so who knows what was really in the caplets I was taking... anyway, glad to hear it worked for you.

I added two pills a day to my cocktail of ginger, fish oil, curmcumin, pscillium husk and probiotic yogurt 6 months ago. I decreased my maintenance dose of colazal( to 3g a day) with no change 3 months ago.
I really don't think you should expect results in days or even months with most supplements and herbs like you do with prescript
ion drugs. You may never be able to tell. I am doing better than ever but it just could be normal healing.

I have heard good things about
boswellia, both on this forum and through links provided that say it helps.
However it made my stomach upset. Because I so believe people here when they say it works I even tried it a second time months later. Nope. Negative results, not just nothing. Not unusual for me since many, many supplements have given me negative results. Cranky gut I've got.
Not surprisingly it took me 2 attempts years apart with the SCDiet before that was successful.

Boswellia was proven to work as well as Asacol in UC patients.
Look it up.

It definitely gave me heartburn on an empty stomach. I now take it along with most of my pills in the middle of a meal

I've been using Boswellia for an abscess in my mouth. I'm also taking turmeric supplements and rinsing my mouth with salt water. So I don't know how much, if any, of my improvement is due to the Boswellia.

Has anyone had better luck using Boswellia through a pure essential oil that is top of the line?
