Survived vacation...flex sig next week

Hi all! Still flaring....same old, same old for me. No D. Just lots of trips to the bathroom w/ just gas and maybe a tiny bit of stool. Still having good bit of blood. Survived 8 days at the beach. I actually did ok. Most of my bathroom trips seem to be in early, early am (wake me from my sleep), around lunch and after dinner. So it didn't really bother the beach time w/ my sweet family!

That being said my bum is still sore from sitting on the potty all the time! And I always get constipated on vacation which doesn't help the running back and forth and nothing coming out.

Having my first flex sig on Thursday. Interested to see what GI has to say. Last colonoscopy was 2 years ago. Will repeat colonoscopy in Aug. 2012. But w/ flare doc wanted to take a look.

Guess just wanted to say hi to all and complain a little bit!

Fortunately the flex sig is pretty easy! I was in and out very quickly and no sedative needed. Hope that gives the doc some sense of what the next course of action should be.

I also get constipated when I travel, so I understand that pain. Glad you were able to enjoy it though. Best of luck!

Glad you made it through your vacation, I feel your pain. We went on a beach vacation 2 years ago....1 week before I was dx so I was flaring. Looking back, I don't know how I did it, but I guess we all do what we gotta do sometimes.

Hope the flex sig goes ok and that you can find something to help this flare!!
