Well, I'm still flaring. Off of prednisone and having yoyo symptoms (under control one day and flaring the next and so forth).
Lately I've been getting some bumps on my face. They come and go and never last more than a few days. They're circular, raised and sometimes a bit painful to touch. I'm not sure if it's colitis related but they do tend to correspond with flare ups and I also get bad acne.
Any advice is appreciated as well as cream recommendations!

Where do the bumps usually show up? What part of your face?

,
I think it may be residual Prednisone side effects.

If you just got off the pred, then more than likely it's like InSo says - left over pred side effects.
With Uc, there is a slew of skin conditions that come with it. I get boils - randomly and sporadically but they hurt like crazy. I had one on the side of my face by my ear. I am also highly prone to cysts. Do these red bumps of yours ever come to a head? If not, it might be cystic acne brought on by the pred. Warm wash clothes can help take the swelling and redness down. I take a paper towel, wet it, put it in a baggie and microwave it for about
10 seconds. I do 15 on and 15 off thru out the day.

How do you mean red bumps? is it spots almost? On pred you can get quite bad spots that form into almost cysts as they can be pretty bad, I get a few on my body like shoulder, chest back etc and they are quite large inflamed and sore to touch.

For those of you that may read this thread that get the subcutaneous folliculitis type boil thing going on - regular head and shoulders shampoo has cured me of 99% of the problem I was having.
