I just tapered off of Prednisone about a week ago and I am currently taking Budenoside enema (5mg daily). Prior to tapering off the Prednisone I was taking both the Prednisone and Budenoside and now I'm still just sticking with the Budenoside. Every since I got to around my 10 mg dose of Prednisone I started getting unbearable neck, shoulder and back pains. Now that I'm completely off of it, the pain seems to be worse. Some days I feel like my whole upper body is inflammed. I literally feel like the hulk. My neck, my chest, my shoulders, my back. I feel HUGE and I do get huge. Does anyone know if this is normal? My pain is unbearable. I cannot move without being in extreme pain. I honestly don't know what's worse; having a small part of my colon hurting or my whole upper body. This pain is honestly worse than the UC pain I was experiencing. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
PS - I was on the Prednisone for a total of about 6 months. I went off of it after 3 months, thinking I was in remission, only to start bleeding again and then got back on it about a week later. I was also taking Panteloc with the Prednisone because of the nausea and chest pain and I was also taking Centrum. The rectal enema was added to my medications at the 3 month mark.
