Hi IHATEUC!
I'm right there with you. I was 16 when diagnosed and am now 38! It's been a long haul.
I think most of us here can understand this and I still get up at least 2 hours before going anywhere and when I'm out I don't eat. So my life surrounds going to the bathroom.
Just doing practical things like getting up early will help with the anxiety but it also means your extra tired especially when your heading off to school. If you haven't already you may want to have an extra set of clothes in yr bag or locker just in case...and also if you are comfortable let your teacher know so you can run out if you have too.
What I have recently found through this forum has helped me alot.
In the am I take 1 immodium with all my meds...asacol etc
With every single meal I take 2 fibre capsules, and an extra 2 before I go to bed. This has helped considerable with the urgency. Now I go1-2 times a day instead of 15-30. The fibre will slow things down, just start slowly and since your on vacation it is a good time to start.
You can also ask your doc for Bentyl or Buscopan to slow the bowel down.
As far as anxiety and nervousness I recently bought a self hypnosis CD and it is also very helpful for me. I'm not sure you'd be interested it in but it's an option. It was specifically for IBS and I got it online. When I feel nervous about an outing, I just listen to it for 1/2 hr and it calms me.
Hope this helps and good luck kid!
Ruby
