Other Meds with Remicade

I am beyond the breaking point!!  I was diagnosed with UC in 2009.  My most recent colonoscopy in May showed that now my whole colon is inflammed.  I was immediately started on 60mg of prednisone (currently have tappered to 20mg) and Remicade and Asacol.

For those of you on Remicade do you take any other medications along with it?  I have had two infusions of Remicade and I am not seeing much difference.  I am getting so discouraged.  I am a mom to an 11 year old and miss so much of life with her.  I want my life back!!!

     I was on 6MP for seven years (didn't really keep me in a long term remission) before my GI doctor suggested Remicade.  However, he said it was too risky to have me on both immunosuppressants.  Two months prior to my starting the Remicade he took me off the 6MP.   I was still on the prednisone though and thought the Remi was working..yahooooo...however, once off the prednisone, and right after my 3rd infusion of Remicade...boom...symptoms came back.  Boo hiss.  I also tried Humira for three months with no change.  Had a total colectomy with end ileostomy last June and never looked back.
