Difference between cramps and rectal pain

What's the difference in how it feels between garden variety cramps and rectal pain from inflammation . I think I have the latter because it's relieved by a bowel movement. But I'm not sure. Would cramps be alleviated by a BM too?

I think I'm definitely due for a flex sign.

For me, cramping encompasses my entire abdomen. It feels like someone is taking my gut and just twisting the whole thing. When I have rectal inflammation, it burns, stings and basically feels like I'm trying to pass razors. I also get a heavy feeling in the rectal area.

For me, my cramping is relieved by going but the rectal pain does not. In fact, it tends to make that area feel worse for a little while.

Yeah, I thought I forgot to title it. Thanks.

Anyway, that's a good explanation except my pain is totally relieved (vanishes) by a BM and seems only to appear every few days when I have a big bowel movement.

The cramping is throughout but it's radiating from very low so I assume its the rectum.
