Hi again guys. First of all I'd like to say I'm loving the community here, great answers and information from everyone.


That being said, is anyone familiar with Ziana? It's a medication mainly used for acne that I use for my back. I recently learned that it should not be used if you suffer from Ulcerative Colitis. I have mild proctitis, do you think it's safe to use?

I will be calling my dermatologist tomorrow but thought it'd be something to ask you guys as well.

I am using this med and there is an indication that it should not be used in patients with UC. I called my dermatologist and she said the amount I would be using (a pea size), every couple of nights, shouldn't cause me any problems. She said to take it slowly and to let her know if I do experience any symptoms but she wouldn't expect enough of the medication to be absorbed and to cause me UC problems. Please let me know waht your dermatologist says.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, I must use it for my BACK, which means I need to apply quite a bit. I have recently had a flare up so this may have something to do with it. I will be upset if there is an issue, I indicated my prior diagnoses to the dermatologist before beginning to use this product...
