well I had to use my car port-a-potty twice today, on the way to work. I sort of laughed to myself, thought of all you guys on here crying out in horror! Even though I have 2nd thoughts re. surgery 24/7, it's times like that which make me think it's the right choice!

Lol Hey, I had a good poopy! Hey, I seen blood in the toilet! Hey, I had to use the port-a-potty! But you know what???? We can sooooo relate which is why this forum is so great! :)

I agree, that perhaps it is surgery time. You have been thru the wringer Eva Lou. You are definitely a strong person.

     I HEAR ya Eva!!!!!  Funny when reporting this, not so funny having to live like this eyes .  I can remember going to my daughter's house, a fifteen minute car ride from ours.  Hubby was driving and the port a pot was in the back of the SUV...thank GOD!!!  Gotta go!!!!  As I was sitting on the pot, hubby had to make a turn shocked .  Thought me and the pot were going to flip over.  Good thing I was able to hold on to the back of the rear seat.  UGH.  Sooooo glad those days are over.

Right, my work is maybe a 20 minute drive! I had just dropped my daughter off at school & had to pull over in the school parking lot! I'm thankful every day for tinted windows... It is funny, you just have to laugh. And the fact that moments like that are part of my daily life???!!!! too much.

have you guys read the book "colitiscope" by andrew tubesing?? if you haven't read it, pick it up immediately!!!! when you're done, make everyone you know read it. it's all about the "funny" stuff that happens when you have U.C.

the author turns these horrible bathroom situations into the most hilarious stories ever. i was literally laughing throughout most of it. there are some talks about what it's like living with colitis and the hardships about people treating you different, but it's a pretty light-hearted read.

Eva, I agree. I think it's time. You should not have to live like this. I think that sometimes we just get used to things and don't realize how bad things really are, and how much we've had to give up to live with this disease.

Good that you can get to the potty. When I have had accidents in my car, I have not had enough warning to even stop the car, nevermind get onto a potty.

Hope you can get in sooner for your consultation.
