Hi all long time no speak, im doing very well on 100mg of imuran,tho my tummy gaving me a little grief,and having plenty of gas and feeling bloated and nausea, also left side pain but stools fine and 1 a day, my doc gave me Lansoprazole but they dont seem to be helping and its frustrating as i am trying to keep fit but after work am so bloated,tired etc,does any of you guys know of anything i can do or take? THANKS ALL,  wink

glad it's helping- and you were so frightened to go on it, right? Your symptoms sound like typical UC stuff, but I gather the Imuran is making a big difference.

How long have you been taking the Imuran? I found after 5 days to a week my nausea went away, although I ended up having other problems with Imuran.

Hopefully your nausea will go away and you will be fine. Other people suggested to me to try taking it at different times of the day or splitting the dose, but I'd suggest giving it at least a week trying it at 1 time before changing anything.

i've been on imuran for over 8 years. Initially I had some nausea problems, but found that if I take the tabs in the morning with breakfast it got much better, It also makes my pee a bit green-ish, but its just from the color in the tabs. My liver enzymes are a bit off now, not sure if it's related. i have an appt next week to look into that. What sort of problems have you guys been having?

I've been on it for almost 5 weeks now and I still get neauseated. Ive tried taking my pill a little later, about an hour after breakfast and it mostly helps but sometimes it still doesnt. It has also really curbed my appetite, a nice switch from the pred!

thanks for your input guys, beatuc, my kidney levels are also up abit to. i was at the docs today and he gave me tabs for nausea and been bloated, he thinks i also may have IBS . yipeeeeee
