was NEGATIVE! Yay! The doc is ruling it as IBS and the bleeding can be from both internal and external small hemmies. He gave her a script
for Bentyl and put her on a high fiber diet.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been thinking about
both of you all morning and hoping for good news! I can only imagine how relieved and happy you both are! I'm sure she's a lovely girl, but I'm glad she's not joining this forum!

I'm glad she's not joining us either! He wants to see her back in a month but he wants to keep an eye on her because he said that he has had patients that thru a scope looked normal only to have Uc or Cd strike within a month or so later. As of now though, she looks good.
A goofy girl under anesthesia though! lol I guess as they wheeled her out she kept saying she wanted her mom but she doesn't remember saying that. Nor does she remember asking for her glasses. She did and 10 minutes later she was like "how did my glasses get on my face????".
Overall she did fine - prep, anesthesia and scope.

Great to hear she did well through the scope procedure and that all the bleeding is from hemmies.
It's a big test for someone young, but an important one fur sure.
Congragulations....you can take a mental rest now!

Thanks all. This has been weighing on me pretty heavily for the past month so this lifted a weight off my shoulders as well as my daughter's.

Whew! We were all sending both of you good vibes ... I hope she'll soon feel good as new for many yrs! RE feeling loopy after scope-- that's the sedative. I once found myself on a gurney in the hall & wondered where my gastro went; then after a couple minutes I remebered that she had said goodbye to me! / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

definitely get her on some probiotics so she can replenish her intestinal bacteria. colonoscopies get rid of a lot of it.
