I live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and the CCFA is offering a class called "Why do Biologics Fail" on November 15th in this area.  I've signed up for the class because Remicade failed after 13 months and I will soon be starting Humira. 

Hope to get more information at the class than I've been able to get from my GI doc (though I am very happy with her) or from anything

I've read on line.

I will post here with a class review and any info that might be helpful.

great! looking forward to it! remicade failed me after the second infusion. seemed like a waste of time/money/not to mention the risks...

     Sounds interesting.  Keep us posted.  Remicade failed me after the 3rd infusion and after three months on Humira there was no change in my condition.   I was prednisone dependent for two years prior to my operation last year.  My problem was ulcerative proctitis and my GI doctor said that is the most stubborn to treat.  Oh well..it's all gone now.  Wish I knew what my prognosis was going to be back in 98 when first diagnosed.  I probably wouldn't be suffering with osteoporosis like I am now shakehead .

Yes, please let us know what they say! Remicade failed me, & Humira is keeping me in this weird holding pattern, which includes accidents, mucous, etc. Yet fairly solid stools. But definitely not remission! I'm envious, I'd love to hear what they say.

Yes, definitely let us know. See what they have to say about Cimzia--that is a newer biologic I am on and we don't hear much about it. It is working for me so far after Humira did not.
