Bentyl

I was taking Librax (generic) since I was diagnosed last year until a few weeks ago. Don't know if it was doing anything since I didn't have cramping symptoms to begin with and my cramping began while I was still taking it. I stopped because the doctor thinks it was what was responsible for me sleeping through my weekends. If I had something to do/somewhere to be I'd be okay but left on my own, I'd just curl up on the couch and sleep through entire days.

Cramping is either mild on it's own - feels just like premenstrual cramps and usually my mind writes it off as that until I realize, 'wait it's nowhere near time!' - or more severe with diarrhea or as a warning to. It's annoying and I'd like it to go away, but not at the cost of sleeping my life away.

Been hearing good mentions of Bentyl lately and I was wondering if I should ask my doctor about it, or will it have the same side effects as Librax. Good stuff?

To me, it's good stuff (Bentyl...Bentylol in Canada)...I've used it for over 22 years. I gratuated from 10mg to 20mg...and the point that Sherry makes of sitting still compared to being busy is important.

For me, it can relax my eyes, so if I'm very tired, it'll exacerbate that.

I use it at bedtime as well.

It'll hit you quicker if you have no food in your system.
