Could this pain be from the Imuran?

Been on Imuran since 09/30/11 (75MG).  All of a sudden I am waking up with severe pain in my stomach and back.  Hurts if I press on it also. Sometimes accompanied with nausea. It will happen 2 nights then not again for maybe 3 more nights(I take Imuran before bed). I would describe the pain as more than uncomfortable, and it takes a long time to go away.  Over the counter meds do nothing. 

Almost like severe gas pains.  Woke up with it at 4AM this morning and at 8:00 the pain is still there.

I'm hoping this isn't pancreatitris.

Call your GI - I'm afraid it does sound like Pancreatitis.

Poor thing. I have not experienced this type of pain from 6mp but I am happy you're getting checked out. It sounds painful.

Liquid diet for me also for the next 24 hours and 3 more blood tests and a CT scan. Bye bye Imuran.

I have been on Imuran 50g one week yesterday and I have quite bad pain the last two days but only down my left side and bladder area (low down front) my back aches a little both sides. My Doc warned me any abdominal pains, come straight back in, I think it's my colon, The whole length is shot and I still have blood, she wants me to up to 50mg 3 times a day on 21st December.

Do you think my pain could be Imuran related? I am weening off Pred now down to 5mg this week from 60mg.

Oh No! Hope all can be dealt with asap and that you have no remaining issues once off the Imuran.

I have been doing fine since off the pills. I do believe they were starting to work for me.
