I started with UP two yers ago, went on to be UC, now it's PC in the space of 2 years.
I was beelding and with little medication ended up in Hospital about three times over three months and had 13 units of blood. Have recently been in hospital again and had 2 units of blood.
You will know if you have lost too much blood as you will feel tired and not want to do anything other than lie down all day, take a look under your bottom eye lid to check the colour, if it's pale you may need blood.
Don't be afraid of Prednisone, it's not great with it's side effects, but better than lieing in hospital for weeks on end, any day.
I am still bleeding now and I have been home only two months, I am back in for a check up next week on my blood. I take an iron tablet everyday too.
I would like to know how much bleeding we can take without having to go into hospital and are there folk out there who bleed a little but often without the need to go in?
I'm not bleeding too heavily at the mo but am feeling like I will have to go in again for blood soon, and I want to stop it.
I would appreciate any ideas.
Best of luck to you, try Pred it's pretty good at helping the condition but has side effects that, it seems, can affect everyone differently.
Oh and supositories never seemed to do much good for me.
