I'm still dealing with this rash on my chest. The little red bumps have gone away. I'm in no pain just wondering when all the reddness will go away. It's makes me wonder if this a bacterial. or funigal infection, or just a reaction to Remicade. I have been on it for 2 years. I haven't had to many problems. I'm just wondering why it took so long to develop a rash. I could understand it if I just started the drug! Any help?

According to my GI, it is not uncommon for the body to reject Remi, days, months or even years after starting the infusions. He had one patient who started getting joint pain after she was on Remi for a year - he called it late onset allergic reaction. Perhaps that is what you are experiencing. Did you ever happen to go to the doctor for the bumps on your chest? How did you get the bumps to go away?

I'm on 100mg of Doxycline Hyclate. They also gave me an anitbacterial cream, along with some fungial cream. I'm not for sure which one took care of the red bumps. I still have another week of the antibiotics oral pills. My chest is still colred red, the rash hasn't completely gone away.
I did ask my GI about the rash. He sent me to my M.D. Will see what happens.
