Just a quick update since my surgery last Wed. The surgery was laproscopic and went very well, and I am feeling good and recovering well. ALL my UC symptoms are gone other than a bit of rectal drainage which is lessening every day.
I just got home today, and am a bit tired as I am healing, but nothing like the exhaustion of UC. Little things like sitting in the car without a plastic bag under me, or going to the store without worrying about
the washroom are amazing! It is so freeing.
No regrets, and so happy to be UC-Free!!
Thanks to all of you over the past two years for your feedback, information and support. Good luck to all of you battling this horrible disease.

WooHoo!!! happy to hear all went well and that you're feeling very positive about
the process and outcome.
Will you be having a j-pouch done after this?
Thanks for the update, hope you continue to feel better daily.

Always good to hear good news. May you live long and healthy with less and less thought of your colon, like the old days before UC!
