Update

Just a quick update since my surgery last Wed. The surgery was laproscopic and went very well, and I am feeling good and recovering well. ALL my UC symptoms are gone other than a bit of rectal drainage which is lessening every day.

I just got home today, and am a bit tired as I am healing, but nothing like the exhaustion of UC. Little things like sitting in the car without a plastic bag under me, or going to the store without worrying about the washroom are amazing! It is so freeing.

No regrets, and so happy to be UC-Free!!

This is such great news!!! It is always so good to hear these kinds of results w/ surgery. I am looking forward to hearing your progress. Seems not too many regret surgery--- congrats on moving forward w/ a UC free life!

Glad you are doing well! I have to say you sound more energetic than I was one week after surgery...good for you! :)

Wow, home already? You must be healing nicely! I'm so glad that you are starting to feel better - you deserve it! I hope that every day gets easier and easier for you.

Always good to hear good news. May you live long and healthy with less and less thought of your colon, like the old days before UC!
