6mp with asacol and pred?? Not sure help!

Hi i am currently in 6mp 25 mg and asacol 2 3x/ day with 15mg pred, not sure if this is safe? Hope my GI knows what he is doing.

I'm on 35mg pred, 150 imuran and 9/colazal a day. I have my bloodwork checked every 3 months.

You're on a low dose of all the medication in comparison to some of us. I am no longer on prednisone but I am on 50mg of 6mp and 3200mg Asacol/day. I was on prednisone + 6mp + asacol for a while and I did okay.

I wasnt sure if it is safe becuz i keep reading stuff on the internet probably shdn't.

I was taking 200mg, of Imuran 6mp daily. Along with asacol 3 3x/day. Then of course Pred. 60mg. They would wean me off the pred. and then pray that would keep me from another flare.
I would have blood work done once every 8 weeks. I didn't have any problems.
Then the those meds quit working. I know go in every 8 weeks for Remicade. It works great. It's just very costly. I would love to just be on 6mp again. I wouldn't worry about it. Google Remicade on the net. It just scares me, but it works.
