Mix Cipro Flagyl and Prednisone?

Hi everyone,

I'm flaring up again and my doctor wanted me to try cipro and flagyl for 2 weeks.  If after 4 days there are no improvements, she wants me to start taking prednisone twice daily (40mg) and to finish the cipro and flagyl.

My GI won't be back until Monday Dec 5th and Im not sure if i can take take it all together in the morning and at night.

I also currently take 150mg imuran every morning and Im on remicade infusions ever 8 weeks.

Please help!

I took cipro flagyl and pred all together and 6 mp, ended up eith oral thrush, but was told to take them all and had Remicade going on too. When I finished the pred flare came back, so I don't think other things helped

     When I suffered with UP my GI doctor had me on Cipro, Flagyl, prednisone and 6MP too.  However, he took me off the 6MP two weeks before starting Remicade, but I was on that darn prednisone seemed like forever!  It gave me osteoporosis, high blood pressure and type 2 Diabetes...try not to take the prednisone too often.

     I had surgery June of 2010.

i was on all 3 in the hospital and then when i went home, i stopped the antibiotics.
