Quitting Smoking Mouth Ulcers/UC

Well I quit smoking again and now have some bad mouth ulcers, we all know the connection between quitting smoking and UC but how many know there is also a connection to mouth ulcers and quitting smoking.

There is quite a bit on pubmed if you search mouth ulcers nicotine.

Now this makes me wonder if there is a nicotine/carbon monoxide,mouth ulcer, UC connection.

Anyhow my history.

Quit smoking 1977, UC 1980, started smoking again 1982 UC into remission, quit 1986 uc flare until present,even though started back to smoking as soon as flare started.

Quit smoking again 11/2/11  extra bleeding,mouth ulcers.

when I was in the hospital when I still had uc with a flare. The dr I had told me mout ulcers are linked to uc because its all made the same. You know hou your mouth, stomach, intestines are all one body system? Well that's why they are linked. After I thought about it I realized I was got fever blisters when I got a flare. But until I had surgery and saw my ileo I didn't believe your insides and the inside of your mouth could be anything alike, but they look exactly the same.
There is this stuff called cur a sore, its kind of hard to find and it tastes AWFUL but it will dry a fever blister up in no time!
