New Year Eve is coming soon! Travel and a flare!! What can I do?

Hi,
I had a colonoscopy on 12/16 and my GI said that 90% of the illness gone. I only have an inflamation called pseudopolyp (false polyps) was taking Apriso 2tabs 1x but I stopped the med b/c a hair loss problem but only for two weeks. Nowdays, I'm taking Apriso once again for the last two days and I continue bleeding. The problem is that I'm gonna travel to spend New Year Eve with my family. Can I still going? Is the med enough to manage a flare or do I need prednisone? Is this bleeding related to the psudopolyps; I wanna call
my doctor today.

Diagnosis UC 9/1/11
Probiotics
Prednisone only one month after crisis
Apriso 0.375 mg 2 caps 1 x
Lialda in the past 2 caps 1x
Gluten free diet/ I ate gluten on 12/25
Dairy/lactose/sugar/fat free
Organic olive oil
Potatoes and carrots/papaya,pineapple, apples ( no skin) salmon and chicken sometimes. Portabello mushrooms and beets. Honey rice cereal gluten free and Udis white bread. Gluten/dairy free butter.

I bleed for almost a month after my colonoscopy (last month). I had to increase my Asacol and add Rowasa at night for about 3 weeks. It finally stopped. I know that doesn't help you right now as you get ready to travel, but I agree with sherbear eat very lightly, in fact when I fly I can eat at all. I have that fear of having to go to the bathroom and not allowed to get out of my seat.

yes, call your Dr. If I were you, I would try not to take Prednisone.
