Pentasa supp.

I was on Betnesol retention enemas (steroids) for quite some while now and my doctor switched me to Pentasa suppositories. I was doing great on the steroids but now I'm having a ridiculous # of BMs and I constantly feel like I have to go to the bathroom. My stools are now unformed and watery. Will this eventually stop or is this completely not normal? I've only taken the Pentasa for 2 nights now. I take one supp every night. I don't know if my body is trying to adjust to the medication or if this means I'm going downhill. Thanks for reading.

No. I'm on Pentasa supp. alone. My GI said I had no inflammation beyond my rectum. I cannot believe this! I even told her I had extreme pain around where my transverse colon is and she said that feeling was my bowels moving and it was normal. And another thing that bothers me is that my GI only gives one thing at a time. I hear about people on maintenance drugs and what not and I'm never on more than one thing at a time.

QUESTION: When I'm on steroid enemas my BMs go back to normal immediately. Just one night and I'm perfectly fine. My stools are formed and normal. So how do I have inflammation higher up in my colon?
