Clipper 5mg

I have been unable to control my bleeding for almost 2 years on and off and have had 13 units of blood in as many months, and also over three months in Hospital on all kinds of drips, even food drips, as they stopped my food intake for three weeks.

Last month I went for my usual monthly update at Hospital and I was expecting to be kept in for blood top up, Last month they gave me Azathioprine (Imural/Imuran) to take, (1 a day which was to be increased to 3 a day after a month) It made me so very poorly I stopped taking it after two weeks, so was worried that nothing would ever stop my flaring. To my surprise she said that although my blood was bad I did not need to stay in hospital just yet, she prescribed me another drug for 30 days, she said, it had less side effects, it is called Clipper 5mg, she also gave me a Salofalk 4g 60 mil enema to take before bed.

WOW.

I can not believe it, after bleeding for the best part of a year the bleeding stopped over night, I am absolutely amazed. I have also regained my lost 25kgs in weight although NOT overnight lol.

While waiting for my next appointment this month, I have had two TB tests (negative) and a chest Xray, I am going to see her next week, I can't wait to tell her how great I am feeling, I feel so normal it's truly amazing. Problem is they reckon these steroids are short term and I have 30 days on it, what do you think will happen next? Any ideas, bear in Mind I feel about 95 percent normal now for the first time in two years or more.

Has anyone else had any success with Clipper 5mg? I hadn't heard of it before, now I think it's a miracle drug, with no side effects that I can feel.

Are you sure it was the clipper? Could it be the enema that you have now been doing? I have found the most success w/ the rectal meds. Let us know how it goes when you meet w/ your Dr. I agree w/ nssg that she must be considering Remicade for your next treatment.

Remicade is biologic.

They should really give you more refills for your rectal meds. My GI gives me enough that I can use them nightly indefinitely.

Are you taking any other medication right now? The majority of us remain on medication in hopes of maintaining remission.

Well, stopped taking Clipper 5g overnight, I did ask Doc if it would be ok after 3 or 4 months and she said yes.

I have been having this last week the worst headaches I have ever had also chest discomforts arm aches and itching all over, this is my third week without the tabs. I now take Iron Mesaline 6 a day and one to stop acid, the others I take are mostly vitamins like Calcium and Omega 3.

I had a little slight bleed for a day or two but touch wood I am doing well apart from the other discomforts, oh and my Blood pressure has hit the roof at over 190/110 some days.

I am in to see the doc in hospital next week.

Fot to say, my hair has gone very thin so am taking Vitamin B6, it worked last time.
