OT update on #ankle and sons 21st party

Well first ankle much better and hoping to be back at work on January 31 after 10 weeks off.
Saturday son had a small party at home ,I ended cooking chilli con carne chicken fajitas and Megga burgers for about 26
Also made a huge Banoffee pie and massive chocolate cake
Son was very pleased and a good time was had by all ,just took me 3hrs to. Sort house out and tidy kitchen the next day but well worth trouble to see good friends and close family

You made banoffee pie... oooooh. I had some when I was in London - what? 2 years ago? I had never heard of it before but I loved it. You don't see it here. I was thinking I'd have to go back to England to have it again, but never thought of making it. I love cooking but never bake. Hmmmm.

Glad your doing well lambkins! What is banoffee pie? I feel like I'll ruin the surprise by looking it up in google!

That sounds wonderful. Did you pig out on the fajitas? I know I would have!!

That is great news! So glad you've been feeling better & were able to handle all the cooking + enjoy the party. Take care; as Quincy posted in your earlier thread-- if they recommend follow-up therapy for your ankle, do it. / Old Hat (31 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

Hi stereofidelic89 Banoffee pie is a biscuit base with a very thick caramel sauce covered in sliced banana topped with whipped cream and drizzled with a little melted chocolate very yummy.
Have not had to have any physiotherapy on ankle touch wood,still a bit stiff but getting better every day am making sure I get lots of rest but doing a little more each day.
And I didn't get to eat much food as it was me doing the cooking but everyone else enjoyed it which was the main thing lol.
