normal looking stool w/ no blood but some mucus

last few weeks i haven gotten to the closest thing to remission i have had. been taking 3 asacol hd's twice a day, one steriod enemas nightly, and vsl 3 two packets with yogurt each morning and sometimes one ( i forget what they are called, prescription stops you from pooping) a day when i am going out and about. but lately i have been getting white mucous that comes out with normal poop but no blood. anyone else ever had this? what should i do?

     Mucus was always the first thing I noticed when starting a flare.  Don't let this discourage you though because everyone is different.  Keep up with that vsl#3.  My friend is having wonderful luck with that stuff and Rowasa enemas.  Stay away from prednisone!!  That stuff will kill ya .  Unfortunately, my GI doctor never had any faith in probiotics.  He had his own method of madness which, you are aware, didn't work for me.  Had someone (had two other opinions) suggested the vsl I would surely have tried it.
