Feeling lucky

So I know someone who has a young son with hydrocephalus and he has tons of complications and is heading toward another brain surgery. And this made me think, you know what? I am pretty lucky, all things considered. My kids are healthy, the rest of my family is healthy, and really I am doing pretty well with my UC at the moment. I can get down and frustrated and feel sorry for myself sometimes and definitely freaked at the prospect of surgery, but right now all I am feeling is gratitude that I am here and doing okay. I think of the other people I know with lupus or MS or cancer and think, yup, all good here and know I can get through this, no problem.

Just wanted to put that out there on this Saturday morning. Have a good weekend everyone.

I feel the same way. I have very little to complain about at the moment and even if I did it would pale in comparison to what others have going on.
