To The Moderators

LOL. This thread is now becoming awesome.

I think this could have been handled differently myself. It would have been better to first determine is someone was truly offended, as it seems that is not the case. Also, usually when a moderator deletes something they don't take away the whole post, just the words, phrase, and or sentences/sections that are offending. And finally, they include in the box of the edited post why they deleted sections and direct the poster to any rules that were broken. The way this was done was careless though certainly not intentionally so. I also think Captain ca-ca deserved a better explanation. I believe he was made to feel he did something wrong with no explanation. It might be easier for someone who has posted on this forum for years to let it roll off as a misunderstanding. Demanding a public apology may no have been the way to handle it either though. I wish there was a way to rectify this rather then make light of it. I for one really look forward to the Captain's posts and will miss them if he chooses to not continue to participate.

Yeah... I guess I felt Captain ca-ca deserved some support too. Sometimes there is a group/clique mentality on this forum that is disrespectful of others in their so called "support" for one another. I call it like I see it. I respect and support the moderators; we all are human and make mistakes. Hopefully we are big enough to admit it when we do. Life is a learning experience. I believe in being transparent and not sweeping things under the rug, or making light of someone who feels disrespected and offended.

I agree Lonie. But Captain ca-ca was offended and as yet has not returned. I find that to be a loss to the forum and I am saddened by it.

Has the possibility escaped everyone that Capn Ca Ca could be putting us on again with this whole thread?
I certainly believe humour has it's place here to help us deal.
Ca Ca will return laughing methinks.
