2 months ago my flare started, most likely, as a result of Azithromycin+Nabumetone combination. The flare has been really bad, worse since I was diagnosed. Before the flare, I started taking PepZinGI to prevent flare resulting from Nabumetone or Ibuprofen. The information I found on PepZinGI in literature was convincing, though the studies were not performed on UC patients but the rodents and the cell lines. I thought of giving it a try (If I remember correctly, InSoFla suggested me in one of the threads, thanks for the suggestion)
Today I completed 2 months of PepZinGI and I would like to report that I did NOT see any benefit of this supplement. This supplement works by preventing inflammatory molecules attacking on your colon mucosa. In the studies, they used pretty high doses of Indomethacin (another NSAID) to show the effect. The results were pretty good showing that it works but in my case, it didn't work, before and even during the flare, so I am stopping this supplement as on today.
This is second supplement that I am stopping, Boswelia was the first one.
I thought of posting as I am sure someone will find out and would like to use it. This is my experience.
