tenderness from below breastbone to top of belly button?

By tenderness do you mean it hurts when you touch it? I don't have that but have had pain in that area since I first got sick.
Doctors look at me like I'm nuts and I think it also delayed diagnoses but...there it is. I also get indigestion pains right under
my ribcage so some days I'm dying! I've had ppl on this forum say that it's radiating from the colon.

I've had a couple of obstructed (small) bowel episodes in the last few months. It was in that area but it wasn’t tenderness it was PAIN. In bed in the fetal position kind of pain. The first on cleared up with a liquid diet in a few days, the second one was three days in the hospital with no food or liquids, IV feeding and a nasal-gastro tube in my nose.

I've had that as well. It was inflammation and not fun. Try a heating pad or rubbing the belly a little bit sometimes that helps relieve the pain. At least that would give me some temporary relief. The doc did prescribe some Nortriptilyne (sp?) to help with the inflammation and it actually worked pretty well.

I would say mine was in the tranverse part of the colon -- exactly as yours, between the breastbone and belly button.
