I'm Canadian. Lived abroad most of my adult life and would love to again but I just can't because of the health care issue. I think we have the best quality of care here - otherwise I'd be in Italy, London, or India. Maybe one day if this nightmare ever ends it might be a consideration. For the moment I've planted myself five minutes away from my daughter's hospital.

That's right Q! In Calgary, the weather can change every 5 minutes....there's been many times when in one day, we've had a bit of snow, rain, wind and sun...and yes, it's like we mainly have 2 seasons here, winter/spring yet in one day we can experiance all 4 seasons...crazy eh!

Hi Bikergirl-

I live in Westfield, MA which is west of Springfield, MA the sister city of Tralee (sp?).
My maternal grandmother came from County Cork.

St. Patrick's Day is very important in this area because of the large Irish population. There is a huge annual parade in Holyoke, MA with many floats and each town/city selects a Colleen and her court. Very festive!

Man, this forum is filled with diversity! I think the only places I havent seen people from yet are the real west Washington, Oregon, Montana, etc...

Gottago, i'm from Vermont too! Down in Myrtle Beach SC finishing up college right now. Can't wait to go back to VT and have me some Ben & Jerrys, maple syrup and Cabot Cheeeeese =P
