As a practicing RN and Lactation consultant (IBCLC) I have to second ManhattanMama above.
See a pediatric GI, YOU do an elimination diet (dairy, wheat, corn) if baby's symptoms don't stop. Keep breastfeeding!!
If your baby is highly sensitive, you really don't want to give him formula unless you find he is "allergic" to something in your
milk, which is very unlikely!! It can happen, but most of the time the baby is ill from birth onward. Sounds like he's been healthy until recently.
Stool samples are a must if the bleeding continues.
