So it's been a while since I've been here. I had a question for the board and your experience(s).
I just gave birth to my DD 3 weeks ago and we're breastfeeding. It's been ok'd by my Lactation Consultant and numerous doctors that even with my medications, I'll be fine, as will DD.
My LC says I have an oversupply and recommended mint tea throughout the day to help regulate it. Personally, I can barely stomach it. I think it's making my stomach feel worse, but what I find is that my GI office said it should be ok. I am not in a flare and haven't been for years. I don't want this to put me into a flare because then I couldn't BF anymore.
Other than being exhausted, which could contribute to the aversion to the tea, has anyone else experienced a flare after giving birth? If you've had mint/peppermint tea before, did you think it helped your UC or harm it? TIA.
