I hear alot of people taking petro-chemical drugs to treat thier symtoms. They are toxic and can aggravate your situation. If You are having this problem try the following:
INflammation- Curcumin-(works better than NSAIDS)
Boswellia-good in combination with curcumin if you
have inflammation in numerous joints.
Fish oil/DHA both are good additions to an anti- inflam-matory diet.
A lot of RA can be traced back to "leaky gut syndrome" which basically means you have holes in your intestinal wall which allow food particles to pass through into your blood stream. When present in the blood stream it causes a histamine response which in turn causes an inflammatory response and acccounts for creation of food allergies.
You got leaky gut by eating stressor foods, abuse or long term use of petro-chemical drugs or by an overgrowth of bad bacteria such as candida albicans. or a fungal growth which maintains an inflammatory state in your intestines eventually breaking down your intestinal wall. How do you attack all of these?
1. Boron- best anti-fungal known to nature. (its a mineral) Problem is it only comes in 3 mg capsules and you need 20-30mg per day to fight off a fungal infection. I took 3 with every meal until remission, then 3 per day.
2. Modified citrus pectin- helps to rebuild the intergrity of your intestinal walls. The secret ingredient in mangosteen juice by xango.
3. Ascorbic acid- buy in powder form 1-2 grams per day, until bowel intolerance (diarrehea) then cut back by appx. half of what you are taking at the time of your intolerance. Adjust to bowel tolerance.
Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is known as a miracle substance when tested by the pharmacuetical industry, problem is they couldn't get a patent from the government for it because it is a natural substance. Hence no profit, so research was discontinued. - It is one of the best know immune system strengtheners.
*note some people may ask why would you want to strengthen your immune system? We have been lied to by big pharma, they say your immune system is attacking your body, I say it is caused by an imbalance and that imbalance is caused by the diseased or infected condition of your intestines. The ascorbic acid gives your immune system what it needs to rebalance itself.
Reishi Mushroom- Known immune system modulator. Follow the instructions on the bottle or drink a cup of reishi tea after each meal.
Pro-biotics- soil organism pro-biotics get rid of the bad guys in your intestines and help rebuild by reducing inflammation caused by the bad bacteria.
I personally take minocycline- I started on 100mg 2x a day, but since remission only take 100mg Mon/Wed/Fri once per day(source Dr.Mercola recommendations)
The reason I continue to take minocycline is due to the research showing people flaring up within 6 months of stopping. While I don't really know if this stuff does any good on keeping me in remission I don't wish to take a chance due to damage caused by flare-ups before I went into remission. My condition was severe and my numbers almost off the charts. It may only be coincidence but I went into remission 2 weeks after starting the above recommendations i.e. vitamin c, pectin, reishi mushroom and soil organism pro-biotics coupled with a stressor food free diet which includes no wheat,or any other gluten containing grains, no nightshade family vegetables, no sugar(i use 100% birch sap origin xylitol instead of sugar and it tastes better) No-processed foods, no commercial beef (I eat free range grass fed only) and stick to organic as much as possible. Stay hydrated. Use only himalayan salt. (pink stuff)
Supplements- Stay away from any supplement containing-magnesium stearate, vegetable stearate, stearic acid, palm stearate or any other stearate or stearic acid. Why? Because it is indigestible and causes the stomach to set up a bio-film which prevents absorption of not only the vitamins and minerals in the supplement it is in, but also the absorption of vitamins and minerals in the food you eat as well. The manufacturers are aware of this and vegetable cellulose can serve the same purpose but the supplement manufacturers don't care about you, they care about cost -vs- profit.
I went for a long time listening to Doctors and other people with RA but found that nothing they tried including remicade and methotrexonated did nothing but mask symptoms. They can not and do not cure anything. If You have a chance of going into remission it is because you are giving your body what it needs to heal itself, not by masking symptoms and increasing dosages when they no longer work. If You already have leaky gut then petro-chemicals only aggravate the problem. It is not yet main stream but the link between leaky gut and RA has been shown in clinical studies. There are RA clinics in Mexico that put people into remission by treating the whole body for increased health, not by petro-chemical medications. My sole reason for posting this is to help the people who have figured out the truth about this disease. I hope everyone goes into remission but that depends on You.
