Hi! CGK you were in remission from that treatment, are you still? Mudua I don't see anymore, maybe she's in full remission. I never went into remission :( just wondering if you would do it again?

Hi Miracles,

Yup, still in remission and over 6 months off the dreaded steroids. I would not say I am completely normal as before I was diagnosed, but doing great.

My immune system seems more normal now. Before the triple ABX treatment, I would almost never get a cold or flu, almost like my immune system was way overactive because some bug was causing it to short circuit. I also recently bounced back from a digestive system virus that affected my whole family. I had diarrhea for 3 days, yet eventually bounced back and got rid of it. That never would have happened before the ABX therapy.

I believe my IBS is more active now than my IDB. It seems certain foods, especially dairy, cause a lot of irritation which occasionally leads to days when I have to go to the bathroom a few extra times. Still trying to nail that down.

If I had it to do over again, I obviously would do the treatment without hesitation. Without it I would either still be steroid dependent and damaging my body every day, on remicade, or colonless. I feel I have no U.C. imposed limits on my life now, which is fantastic obviously.

I will be having a colonoscopy in June. It will be interesting to see how much, if any, inflammation remains.

That's so good to hear, I wish I had that to report. Now I'm doing Clay enemas and taking colozal but I'm better during the day. I'm on LDN and I'm thinking of getting off of that because I sleep better without it and have more energy without it too! IDK, I'll have to think about it. I also drink the clay and I feel the inflammation is down a lot in my gut. I highly recommend the combo therapy to anyone trying anything for UC, I would say, try that first. But it's hard finding a GI to go along with it. I have to go to my Lyme's doctor.

What are your symptoms like now? Are you able to function/work/look after kids/get through your day/etc. OK?

Yes I function well each day, I have terrible gas that sticks in my left side and it hurts all the time though. It wasn't as bad before the clay. I can't figure this UC crap out! I got of LDN because it was robbing me of my energy! I literally felt like doing nothing!!! I also sleep better off of it!

I'm waiting on meeting with my lyme's doctor, I just had some more testing done to see if the lyme's is gone. I will post my results in a couple of weeks when I see him.

Antibitics has helped me feel better, emotionally, but physically my gut has not improved. I've never had remission in 7 years! I'm back on colazol and hopefully it will work!
