Mine doesn't and I am not surprised, since I dont believe off label uses of drugs are ever insured. Not a biggie, as it is cheap- much cheaper than all the out of pocket probiotica that I take, even- but I was just curious.

Ours does. They cover 80% of all meds costs as long as they are rxed by a doc. I wasn't sure if they'd do it, but it hasn't been an issue.
Why won't yours cover it?

I guess not on their list of approved drugs for IBD. Mine was very good at paying 100% of biologic cists when I was on those- had to fail Remi to be on Humira tho, in that order, since dX was officially UC not crohn's- this in spite of my IBD leaning a bit on the indeterminate side.

No, mine won't cover it either.
