I had to watch it twice to fully absorb the process and will probably watch it a few more times to be able to explain it to my GI.

I know he thinks I'm "clutching at straws" by taking LDN but, frankly, I'm willing to do anything that will stop the growth of the precancerous cells in my colon.

The problem is that even if he thinks it might work, I believe that he will stick with the recommended protocol by the AGA that at the first sign of precancerous cells (and after having UC for 10 years), a total colectomy is called for. To me it seems barbaric.

Yes, you're right, IMO it is rather barbaric.
But hopefully you'll keep doing better and better, as you have, so that it won't be a decision you'll need to make. :-)

Thanks for the post, InSoFla. I am convinced, upon reading more on LDN, that I made several mIstakes with it that may have led to my flare. I often eat a late dinner and immediately took LDN after my meal, which (upon closer reading) prevents its rapid absorption due to the full stomach. On other occasions, I took it long before bedtime, in the afternoon, whereas its magic is supposed to work best in sleep. Lastly, I never backed off of it for a couple of days now and then- you mentioned that you do it every two weeks. once I am able to get below 10 mg pred, I will hopefully be abke to get LDN to work abain and take tighter control of how I administer it. of course, also looking for other things to get a more robust remission, and above all tame my ongoing flare.
