Question about blood,

Following my BM tonight which I had to wipe a ton for I had specs of blood on the toliet paper. No blood in the bowl or on the paper prior to the last few wipes, since then (an hour) my anal area has been aching. What could this be? I have been tapering hydrocort enema for the past few weeks.

Sounds like proctitis. Depending on the bm I get that too. When you get the inflmmation down it will probably stop happening. You can use someting tipical to help. My Gi suggested something called Balenol I think that is the name. I got it at CVS. Helps a little but you only use it externally.

could be fissures...take a look-see yourself by squatting over a mirror.

If you're not having any on the stool or the first few wipes, it's probably anal rather than rectal.
