Has anyone who didnt do great on imuran done well later on 6MP?

I know that imuran basically metabolizes to 6MP.. Years back I trued imuran. I had some side effects such as more and worse respiratory infections, fatigue, and bursitis of the elbow at one point, but I am not ruling out trying say, 6MP instead, since I went throu and failed on two biologics since. i am still hooing to get LDN to work abain if I can taoer my current flare ored, but am nit rulng out heavy hitter meds again as a last attempt to avoid surgery so I thiught I'd ask if anyone who didnt do all that great on Imuran lat discovered 6MP was the charm. I kind of gt the impression that there is no ryhme or reason other than habit and personal preferene why GI's seem to rx one or the other.

Nice to know, notsosicklygirl, thanks. I failed two biologics but since then did very well on just LDN for almost a year .. Until recently flaring- If LDN doesnt kick back in as I taper off pred, then I will try 6MP I think.
