Hi all, new here and my first post. Hopefully I don't get run off! :)
I was diagnosed with UC 12 years ago. For a short period of time early on I would still have the occasional normal bowel movement. You remember? No blood, no mucus, no pain, no anything. The worst thing that could happen was reaching for toilet paper only to find out the holder was empty.
Now, we all have those moments in life that we hold in our memory and replay them from time to time and they feel like they happened yesterday. As sad as it is to say, one of mine is remembering the very last time I had a normal poop. I stood up, turned around and looked at my perfectly formed poop. I don't know how, but I just knew it was going to be my last pain free bowel movement. And it was. That was 12 long years ago. What I wouldn't give to have just one more of those. And by the way, I am envious of those who actually go into remission for a day, month or year. I personally have had to be vigilant 24x7 everyday for 12 years. No breaks for me. But anyhoo, I digress.
Anyone else have a "last good poop" memory?

And I would be remiss if I didn't shout out to all of our fallen soldiers. Bless you, bless you, bless you. For me you are all heroes now and forever.
