Just venting about my appointment yesterday

OMG I fricken prepped, drove a hour and half for them to say, it was cancelled, sorry we didn't call you've been reschedule for OCTOBER!!! I cried there in front of them! I was so pissed! I have a anal skin tag and my ass leaks! It was an important appointment!!!

I called my GI who referred me to this jerk off and waiting to hear from her, said I want to get into another rectal surgeon right away!

So I stopped a Asian rest. and go Pad Thai and threw down! I hadn't not eaten since the night before!

The girl seemed sorry at the "end" when I was about to leave other than that, nothing. I just faxed over a letter to that colon surgeon and then also my GI. She said because I didn't get a call "confirming" I should assume that it was cancelled! What?? Stupid on their part, shame on my for not calling to confirm I guess. I just was so excited, I wanted ummm 6 months since they rescheduled me twice and I just wanted it all done!

I'll see what happnes when they read my letter. The office that "didn't call" will probably not even show the doctor! LOL

I can hang in longer I guess. I taking my rectal meds (canasa) which I love, they really do help!

And here's the difference in doctor customer service. My CR surgeon is 2 hours away. So I leave about 2.5 hours ahead of the appt. to get there early. On my last visit, the hospital is totally empty and I wonder why? They check me in and then the doctor tells me that the hospital was evacuated earlier, they tried to call me and cancel my appt. but realizing I had already left on my long drive, the surgeon postponed his morning surgeries to take me as his patient because he knew I came from far away. Those surgery patients who were scheduled for morning surgery, had to wait until after my exam. I could have kissed him for not walking out on me.

Why scheduling patients when the appointment is pending and need confirmation?
Its like ordering food at a restaurant but telling the waiter he can order the food and wait for your confirmation when you are hungry.

There is one thing about screw.,.... your appointment but admitting it and say sorry and I find it very lame that they tried to put it on you. That you should assume it wasnt a real appointment because wasnt confirmed. So the girl was actually telling you that they work full time scheduling appointments that might not happens?

The thing I hate he most is business or people not admitting their fault.

On the bright side of things maybe that surgeon wasnt meant to do good on you. I would have ordered the fried banana with syrup with that pad thai if i was you!

That is vile. I am so sorry you had to go through that---ugh, a prep and everything...I am outraged!!
