Why are there abdominal cramps after inserting pentasa enema?

I take 1 budesonide enema in the morning, a pentasa enema in the afternoon and another budesonide enema at bedtime. However, I noticed that I have severe abdominal cramps that last for a couple of minutes immediately after inserting the pentasa enema only. I also feel that I can not retain the enema and it is leaking for a couple of minutes (I can become wet) and then it gets absorbed. Is this normal? The pain is very intense.

Thank you, Quincy. The steroid enemas are not foam. I was supposed to have them foam but I couldn't find them where I live. What's the advantage of foam over normal enemas?
