Hi
This is going to sound gross, but I was wondering whether during a flare mucus comes out of your bum or not. The reason why I'm asking is because I noticed that I have mucus coming out when I'm flaring but instead of it coming out of my bum it comes out from my vagina. You'd think it comes out of your bum, though....is anybody else like this? Apologies for the grossness...

You would have a vaginal infection....separate issue. Unless you have a fistula.?  You should get it checked out if it has a specific odour or is painful.  But if's probably a yeast infection...you can purchase OTC medication to treat it.

Mine has no odor nor is it painful. I'd gone to a gyno recently and checked and everything was ok, so that's why I was wondering.....but I appreciate your comment. Thanks :) I'll know what it is to have a yeast infection if ever I do.

I have some sort of mucus or however you call it since I was 12 and I'm depended on pantyliners.

Can this be the mucus which you see now? It's sometimes clear, white or brownish in color. That's totally normal for many women.

Are you in a flare right now? Do you have urgencies?

My UC first presented with mucus stool instead of bloody and seems to be subject largely to the whims of my hormones.  If you notice mucus from vagina pre-flare, it could be that your hormones also could trigger your disease symptoms.
