Steroid injection

Hi everyone,

My partner is still flaring and had a steroid injection at the hospital this morning.

Is this normal?

They also think the UC may have spread further up his colon so he's having anither colonoscopy next week.

Scared.

Injection? No...In an IV yes. It's not typical because one shot of steroids won't do much for a Uc'er that is actively flaring.

I was in the hospital back in May for a few days because of a flare up. They injected steroids into my IV port with a syringe.
Sorry I can't give any more details on why they did that way. On my previous trip to the Emergency Room they gave me steroids through an IV. Not sure on why the difference.
