Makes total sense. This model of bad bacteria overtaking the good bacteria seems to fit UC in every aspect. "they" just have to get better at identifying the bad guys and come up with an effective treatment.

Thanks for the article, Old Mike. As you can see from my signature my Mom died about a year ago from colon cancer with no symptoms until it was too late. Supposedly, 7 out of 10 people with colon cancer have no symptoms. I could not help but think of her while reading the article since I have spent a lot of time pondering colon cancer plus wondering why I have UC. Interesting article.
