Going to India - Worried about anti maleria medication

I took Malarone for one month because it's the only anti-malarial that is non-antibiotic. It worked well, no side effects. I will be taking it again as I return to SE Asia for another month here soon. It's a lot more expensive than the other anti-malarials but it was worth it to me. I don't want to take antibiotics for an extended time, if I don't have an infection.

I would second looking into malarone as the anti-malarial of choice. There is one they prescribe, I forget the name now but one of the side effects is nightmares. I believe malarone is effective for the quinine resistant malaria or something along those lines, it has been a while since I last took it.
