Ready to cry

Here I am again asking for help.  Long story short, have been on remicade for over a year.  Between infusions I start to see signs of uc returning.  (bloody-mucus ect.)  I have also been experiencing upper abdominal pain in my right side of my stomach.  I was sure it was my gallbladder, but the doctor sent me for an ultra sound and said she found nothing.  This has been going on for my past three infusions.  I have been checked for c-diff, negative, and received my last infusion August 3rd.  I am do for my next infusion on the 28th of this month.  From what I have read on here, I think the doctor should have increased the remicade or pushed the infusions closer together.  She wants to send me for a colonscopy and has has not done anything else.  I am currently in a full blown flare and very frustrated.  I feel like when I call the doc every five minutes I am a crazy person.  I just know in the end what this is going to turn into.  I just want to get it under control before it get to bad. 

It seems as if Remicade has lost its effects Have you tried Humira? Maybe that would be the next step.

I hope you get better soon. I so understand your frustration. I had to lay off Remicade which has helped me so well before. It's pretty devastating to get a flare-up again.

That's correct, UC does not turn to Crohn's but since there is no definitive test for either, one can be under the assumption they have UC and they actually have Crohn's and vice versa. I would ask your GI for this test.

I see you had the J-pouch surgery.  Is that something that your doctor said you must have or did you decide that on your own.  Are you glad you had it done?
