The trick here is that tests for celiac are not necessarily going to uncover gluten intolerance.
Very true.
-I've done my research. And even my doctor says that standard celiac blood tests only tests positive for 70% of those with celiac disease anyway. Gluten intolerance requires different testing than celiac. Celiac is like the extremity of gluten intolerance, and my uncle and aunt whom were diagnosed years ago, could not eat anything that may have been cross contaminated (cutting boards, dishes, glasses, plastic containers, etc) this is not the case now, as they have it under control.
Some testing I really do believe in. But hey, what gives? Complete stool testing was included in my colonoscopy, and yet everything (c.diff, parasite, etc) came back negative. When I decided to go the extra mile and do private lab testing, I found my real results about
parasite. Same for gluten intolerance. After cutting it out and sticking to it, I relieved myself of some of the worst joint pain ever, and bathroom issues. So, some testing, for me, proves inaccurate.
