A good gi is worth their weight in gold. Mine is fabulous but I went through so many who just wanted to rip my colon out and functioned with intimidation and scare tactics.

I wish you all the best and will hold you in my thoughts & prayers.

rbartolo: Thank you for your kind words :) Appreciate it :) I'm glad that you were able to find a great GI as well. It truly makes a difference.

quincy: Yes, this forum has done wonders for me. It helps to not make you so alone. So many good people - you being one of them - here and I'm so appreciative.

My mother does competitive swimming but she's not like a professional swimmer or anything. She's just in this Master's team so they have swim meets and tournaments (?) every now and then so she goes every single day for practice except for Sundays. That's her rest day.

I'm finally meeting my surgeon tomorrow. So how are you with your UC? Are you in remission?

Hi Penny... :-)

All is fine regarding my UC, has been for a long while.  I'm still at every 3 nights (sometimes skip to a 4th night). 

Wow, your mom must be very fit from all that swimming. Do/did you do any swimming as well?

Hope your appointment goes well (as expected) tomorrow.

That's great that it seems you have it pretty much under control :)

And yes, I was swimming but I quit earlier this year because I was just shivering in the water (although the water wasn't all that cold) and also because I just lacked energy to swim long distance. I was dead tired after swimming only 100m. All the coaches had high expectations since they thought I had really nice form but because I could never get my flare under control I'd just always get so tired. They think it's a waste but they also don't know that I have UC.
