Should I try LDN?

Hello all,

For the better part of my history with UC (diagnosed last Winter) I've been in a mild flare. Some blood, some urgency, some discomfort.

I'm on nightly mesalamine enemas, daily steroid enemas, and as of a week ago generic Colazal. I've seen no improvement with the Colazal yet.

I'm at college and am looking into fecal transplants and LDN. I think I might wait until I get home to try FT but I'm wondering about ordering LDN. As I'm nowhere near my GI, and don't think he'd approve of LDN, I'm wondering whether ordering it online (from alldaychemist in India, perhaps) and compounding on my own is a good idea. I don't want to take any risks here but I want some relief from my persistent symptoms.

I want to try LDN myself. I will go through a GI who approves it. I will have an apointment January. Long time I know but I take what I get.

it's worth a shot and alldaychemist sells it for a really good price. i made my own as well and just kept it in the fridge. used a syringe every night between 11-1 am. i didn't notice any UC improvements, but it did take my fevers away. i always have fevers during flares so that was a nice relief. sleeping, however, was almost impossible for first 3 weeks.
