Sigmoid in the AM

Friday my GI called and said that he wants to do another sigmoid tomorrow.  Just had one done in July.  Since my failed Prednisone wean - and being back on it 40mg a day, there hasn't been much change in my symptoms other than more blood and less mucus.  It's been 3 weeks now & 2 weeks since getting tested for Imuran.  Still awaiting the results to see if I qualify for Imuran.  My insurance company is fighting the GI wanting to add Asacol.

This time around on Prednisone has been horrific.  I am a shell of a person and feel capable of unspeakable things.  This morning I informed my husband that I am going to get off of the Prednisone and would rather die than feel the way I do mentally.  Does anyone have suggestions as to how I should approach this with my GI in the morning?

I hate the sigmoid idea - every scope they've done causes me to flare worse.  SOmetimes I feel that the Dr is my worst enemy.

1. say no to sig
2. find new dr
3. get well

bAnana, Was your gi for the pAleo diet, if not funny how she/he/it will use paleo as a way to get something out of you,aka scope....

Ps besides cancer screening at a certain point, it is too much. Confirmation of uhhh yeah its the same or worse ,we pretty much know it's our bodies

I've had 3 flex sigs and a colonoscopy in last 12 months. Yuck!

The first thing I would do is see if your GI has results from Imuran test. Why doesn't your insurance want to approve asacol? I take generic colazal.
